Hello! What happens now that I accidentally ate a bowl of unwashed lettuce??? |
I made a bowl of lettuce salad and I forgot to wash the leaves as I peel them directly into the eating bowl!! (Was suppose to rinse it after I peeled but I forgot about washing after I threw in the washed tomatoes.) Thank you to all of you guys who answered my question!! currently, I've not heard of any outbreaks involving lettuce, so you should be ok this time.. In the future it's always a good idea to wash any produce before you eat it. lmao u shud b fine ive eaten unwashed lettuce b4 n its not tht bad probably nothing, at the worst an upset tummy you will be fine...the chances of you getting sick are EXTREMELY small. You prolly just ate some dirt...which will not hurt you in the long run. I wouldnt suggest to not wash ur lettuce every day tho nothing should happen bc lettuce is usually washed before shipped to the store u got if from - it's ok not to rinse it, it's just usually a better idea to, usually for your own satisfaction You're okay, although you have injested some cat and rabbit urine. It's almost impossible to keep them and other small animals out of big vegetable farms. There should not be anything happen from this. You may have eaten a little dirt is all. You are probably safe from all of the things you have listed. People forget to wash the lettuce all the time and never have any problems. i think it would be very low but if you develop diarrheoa or have gastrointestinal problems with fever go to your er asap. AINT NOTHING GOING 2 HAPPEN!!!!!!!!!u actually think u can get really sick by washing that unwashed lettuce?????? Well nothing really bad should happen, but one tip you should make sure to drink a lot i mean alot of water so that you could wash out all of the bad germs, and think about it when you make lettuce they haave to use pestisides so make sure that next time you remember to wash them very good with warm water. don't worry nothing will happen yo you just remember to wash it next time |
