Dealing with dystonia...?

I have been diagnosed with dystonia, a nuerological disorder that is in the same family of disorders with tremors & Parkinson's. I am uneligable for SSI or disability, & so far I can't find work. What advice or services could be of use to me in finding work, or financial aid. Would I be eligiable for a medical card, or assistance with medications.

If you are unemployed or make under a certain amount, you may be eligible for Medicaid for help with your meds. You would have to contact your local Medicaid office to find out more.

My sister-in-law has a slight mental disability, and through the city of Ft. Worth, TX, there was a disability coordinator that was hired to help disabled people find jobs. She was able to find employment through the city. She's not on any government aid either. The reason I mention this is because it is possible that the city you live in may have a similar coordinator. The main thing is: don't give up. There will be an opportunity out there for you, you just have to keep looking!

Good luck!
