Dystonia,anyonehelp.?

Does anyone out there suffer from dystonia.If so could you tell me your experience of it,and can you do anything to ease the pain.Tried botox but hasnt helped at all up to yet(three sets of injections up to yet).No pain relief tablets help.Any suggestions.

I have just finished working with somebody with dystonia in her lower limb, causing severe (dislocation) problems at the ankle joint, we worked on increasing weight bearing exercises, through a good base, with no socks on to increase senory feedback. In this case it worked really well and whilst still having botox injections, she was able to continue walking and not wearing her AFO, for the whole of the time in between injections, instead of just 50% of the time.
Sensory 'tricks' can often help, but they are different for different affected areas, and unfortunately I am no expert on this.
