I have just been diagnosed with Oromandibular dystonia.?

Have been going backwards and forwards from the hospital for 5 months.Have only just found out what it is and now I have to see a neurologist.I am sure my brain is fine as I do a lot of crosswords, and help would be appreciated. It started 2 years ago after having a filling at the dentist, I had problems eating and talking (no smart remarks please). It was my dentist that made the appointment at the hospital and since then it has been a nightmare I cannot even go out as I am so self concious. If anybody had this can you please tell me how you cope.

The filling at the dentist was a metal or "amalgam" filling that contains "Murcury" a highly toxic metal. This could be a contributor to the onset of the "tardive dystonia".
Dystonia is thought to be due to a problem in a part of the brain called the basal ganglia, structures deep in the brain that control movement. Although the precise way in which these structures malfunction is not fully understood, much research is ongoing and is progressing towards a greater understanding of the condition.
Now your body may be prone to neuro-damage and disease through your gene's and DNA traits. So when you come into contact with metallic toxins or even chemical toxins, into the bloodstream they go and to all parts of your body, even the brain.
At this time you should take a good look at your diet and lifestyle to eliminate "toxins". You must consider if this filling is an issue or threat to your health. Include plenty of vegetables and fruits into your diet. Remember the more "raw" they are the better they will provide your cells with what they need for life. Green, orange and red veggies like beets will help in the purge process.
So okay now you need to "purge" the metal from the body especially the brain where it is messing/blocking with neurological processes. There are methods available like chelation therapy etc. There are substances like "Waiora" Natural Cellular Defense that aid in metal/toxin removal from the body.
Here then is the key to reversing the poisoning to the brain.

Diet Change: Vegetables; Dark Green like Romaine lettuce, Kale, Cabbage, Brussells, juice them if you can too. a little Beet juice with some Carrot Juice. And Apple juice Celery juice each day will be great. Pomegranit juice.
Eliminate refined sugar, refined white flour, bad fats and cut down dairy products like cheeses, ice cream etc. These are toxic to the body as it takes time to eliminate the by-products they create during our use of them for "life".
Hydrate your body with pure fresh water. Spring water is best. Cranberry juice is beneficial for the kidneys as Echanachia is for the blood and lypmphatic system.
Medicine can only do so much to block spasms. Heavy metal toxicity is a hard thing to reverse as it takes a long period of time to remove them. Only "you" can treat you with repect.

Respect your cells, respect your life
One body-One life

In oromandibular dystonia the muscles that move the mouth and jaw are affected by involuntary spasm. This unwanted muscle contraction can pull the mouth into different positions. This often happens when people are using their mouths, e.g. talking or eating, but can happen at rest as well. Like most types of dystonia it can be made worse when people are anxious or tired.
