Is ther any cure for dystonia or specifically"hand writer's cramps?

Wow, I thought I was the only person in the world with this.

I could write really fast for 30 years, then I could barely write down a phone number. Its worse when somebody is watching, cause I know its pain full to watch.

The specialist said that Botox injections in the muscles ot the forearm would help. He showed me a video of a young University professor, before and after. It lasts for 3 or 4 mos.

Then he kind of talked me out of it because I'm retired and my writing is not really essential.

His other suggestions were to learn to write with the other hand (easier said than done). Take a small rubber ball, like a squash ball, punch a hole through and stick a pen through it. That gives you a much larger grip on the pen.

I have improved about 50% since then. Don't know why, maybe less stress.
