How does alcohol produce dyspnea to asthmatic patients?

How does alcohol produce dyspnea to asthmatic patients?

Alcohol depresses the central nervous system which controls breathing and can in some cases decrease the breathing rate. Asthmatics have an already impaired breathing system and the breathing depression leads to dyspnea which may not be reversed by their usual medication. The same is true for depressant action medications like morphine for example.

It is a central nervous system depressant. Which means, slowed or no breathing is the fatal reality for anyone if past a point. No one can say when this happens, because the situation is so different for each circumstance. Example, amount of food that day, amount of non-alcoholic fluid that day, general body condition, condition of liver etc. so.... careful! This drug is addictive and will eat at peoples bodies, minds and lives. It should be avoided at all costs!!!!!

in asthma, dyspnoea is common & pt take alchohol so that it is very dangerous for ur health, automatically it produce dyspnoea
