How does kidney disease result in dyspnea?

One way kidney disease can result in dyspnea, is if kidneys are not functioning properly you can retain sodium, fluid, protein etc. This fluid can cause you to become hypertensive, which can cause further blood vessel damage and eventually heart failure, which can lead to pulmonary edema (Fluid in lungs) which can cause dyspnea.
