What is the right medication for DYSMENORRHEA?

Please help. I always experience it everytime i have my monthly period.

There are over the counter meds like midol which contain a painkiller and something to reduce water retention called a diuretic. Your physician can direct you to stronger meds, like progesterone or anti-imflammatories. You could try over the counter ibuprofen which is an anti-inflammatory.

You need to be under a doctor's care.

Have you tried Midol?

Pamprin works best for me. It has a diuretic in it too....

The best OTC medication is Naproxen Sodium (Alleve). Advil also works well. Try taking something the day before you are expecting your period. There are also prescription drugs that you might want to discuss with a doctor. You might also want to ask your doctor about trying birth control, which can also help with pain.

so do we.the best things are:
a hot water bag, green tea/coffee.and regular exercise otherwise helps a lot.
and of course ur regular painkiller.but one important thing:please see ur gymaecologist ASAP to rule out fibroids or some other pathology.please it could be something unpleasant too

Hi

In first place, you need to go to Medicine Doctor, because you need to know if the problem es primary or secondary.

The treatment depends of that result.

I will not tell you any drugs or treatment, because the first, and probably more important question about dysmenorrhea is that ---> 驴Primary or Secondary?
