Im having very painful periods, why? |
Ive always had very very painful periods and they're getting very hard to deal with. If im getting my period I can't do anything that whole day,Im glad it never comes on a day that I have work, but once it did, and I tried to get over it but I had to ask to go home. actually i used to have particularly horrible periods. they included diarrhea, nausea, dizzyness, vommiting, TERRIBLE cramps... and ibuprofen was no longer enough. So I went to the gynocologist and she diagnosed me with dysmenhorea, which simply means painful/bothersom periods. she first prescribed me with an extra strength ibuprofen, but that in itself did work. so i went back about two months later and she put me on loestrin24, which so far (ive been on it for almost 4 months) has worked very well in getting rid of nausea and HORRIBLE cramps. it even lightened my flow which is why i was always so light headed. so maybe think about going to the gynecologist/primary care doctor and getting birth control. they didn't even do an internal on me for it. hope this helps. I am not sure about what causes these symptoms, but I know a little bit about it. My step-mother had the same kind of thing when she was younger. Her doctor put her on BC which made it controllable with just ibuprofen. Most people who have painful periods take medication to take care of it. i have these same symptoms...and i have been having them since i was 12 and i am now 19. it's so hard to do normal things when u are in so much pain. i usually take ibprofen for the pain and then i go take a nap. other than that, i don't know how to get rid of the pain. |
