Is there a medication for high blood pressure that may only be taken as needed and not daily?

My blood pressure is usually normal. But in some situations (dysmenorrhea/menstrual period, tensed situations, exhausted, excited), it rises to 130/100. I don't like taking maintenance medications because it lowers my BP so much to 100/70 which is quite low for me. Besides, these drugs have side effects. I am 39 years old. My BP started to go up, one week after giving birth thru C-section.

Diet and exercise is the only alternative. If you take meds that lower your blood pressure then miss a dose you blood pressure will skyrocket.

Yes, exercise more regularly.
