Does Naproxen is dangerous when there is a gastritis condition?

what if someone suffers from dysmenorrhea (menstrual pain) and want to have come precribed medication, such as Naproxen, and since naproxen causes stomach irritation, I wanna know if it would be bad for a gastritis condition.

naproxen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug which means it is good at reducing inflammation and pain however, it also reduces mucus production in the stomach making the stomach more acidic which is not good when you have gastritis!

it causes gastric irritation when taken in an empty stomach,if you are on your messes make you eat before taking the drug.
