Paramedics and dyslexia?

Is there any paramedics out there how have dyslexia and if there is how hard is it for the training and stuff like that? Sorry for the spelling i have dyslexia

I know one who does! He is great and good at his job. You can do the training if you want to. Good luck

Ha, I have dyslexia as well. I wouldn't be too scared about this one; you're not trying to become an editor, now, are you?

Look into it if you are really concerned. Talk to the person in charge of the training and make sure he/she knows about your dyslexia. I'm sure you have nothing to worry about.

(By the way, I didn't see anything wrong with your spelling. Of course, another dyslexic isn't the ideal person to ask...)

Best of luck,

Lisa

Your spelling is fine.

Your grammar is bad.

ARE there any paramedics out there...if there ARE, how hard is it for the ...

Good luck with your application. I hope that you have all of the qualities that are required of you. If you are truly keen on being a paramedic, nothing will stop you.

Make some enquiries - my brother was turned down for training to be paramedic because he has dyslexia. However, that was probably 15 years ago and things have changed a lot since then!. My dad has terrible dyslexia however, that has not stopped him - he has been a local councillor for years (he is now 73 and still going strong!) - sometimes he struggles but his enthusiasm makes up for any shortfalls he has! Not bad for a man who barely had an education and could hardly read and write - not uncommon for people his age. Good luck to you whatever you decide. Enthusiasm and the will to learn is what you will get you through in life! Your spelling is fine by the way!
