Dyslexia & 7yr old children--dianosing if child needs glasses?

all of suddened as'd residental parent (grandparent) child now was dianosed with dyslexia..what are syptoms,can it just be caused at child needing glasses....

It is easy to diagnose! It is not caused by vision problems.

Have the child copy from one of the childs books any paragraph.

Look and see if the child has mistakenly copied a "d" as a "b"

a "q" for a "p". 6 for a 9 and this will give your own eyes a chance to see what is going wrong.

The best treatment that I was told for my son, is to have him trace over numbers and letters that are correctly written.
He worked on it at a young age and periodically over the school years.

Many have some minor difficulties with school work, but usually get on just fine.

Dyslexia isnt the need for glasses. Its where for some reason the brain is not receiving the right info. The Shriners have a wonderful program to help people with dyslexia. The use flash cards with the letter and write the letter in the air and on paper saying it over and over. I worked with college students once to overcome problems with dyslexia and used the Shriners program. It really helped. try this website:
