People with Dyslexia.....? |
This probably sounds stupid but this is the only way to ask with getting the answer I need so sorry if it soudns dumb. I don't have dyslexia, but I have worked with a lot of people who do have dyslexia. Many of them feel as you do. I understand your discomfort. Explain to people what the problem is and explain a little about dyslexia. If you know that you will have to read something out loud to people, practice it beforehand, and that will usually help. My advice would be to not pretend that it is something else. If you do that you will always have to make up some excuse. Just say, "I have dyslexia, which means reading is very difficult for me. It is even more difficult when I have to read out loud to other people. Could someone else please read this?" Thank you for choosing a best answer. Report It |
