What is the emotional/social part of dyslexia?

Please help me find a website. Or share your ideas.

PLEASE KEEP IT ON TOPIC, AND ONLY SERIOUS ANSWERS

I started trying to read a book today about dyslexia. And it didn鈥檛 really talk about the social part of the disability. It is also thought just to be turning the words up in your mind. but its so much more. It鈥檚 a life style. Please help me learn more. i meet most of the require ments but I鈥檓 blessed with a good typing ability. *thank you* but i read at a 6th grade level. i'm working on that.

=I just found a great site for you. It is fem the International Dyslexia Society and it is a forum where you can answer, ask, and post *** well. Here you may find additional supports. My daughter has a learning disability as well. She is is great kid, but is easily frustrated at times. Hope this helps you.

thank you and glad you found it hepful. Report It

My son is dyslexic. I think one social aspect would be that he is shy. Nervous when speaking or reading out loud.

I am dyslexic, but I have worked really hard at getting better. and I have never known of any social/emotional parts to the disability. Here is a web site about dyslexsia.http://www.medicinenet.com/dyslexia/arti...
It says that dyslexia is a learning disablity. It can cause social and emotional problems because most dyslexics get made fun of for not being able to read or write.
Being dyslexic, depending on the severity, just means you have to find a different way to train your brain. Good Luck....

I am dyslexic. The social aspect is that your are easily frustrated. The words get mixed up and it is difficult to type. I try not to read in public.
