Do people with Dwarfism see Pediatricians ALL their lives? |
Just thinking about it. I just wanted to have some fun with this question. How ridiculous. Just because they are small does not mean they are children. no, because they are not children all their life, no. little people have lots of spine and limb problems and most have to see a specialist no they are not children. They see normal doctors just as we do. Some may see specialists though. It isn't their size that determines who sees which specialist. Pediatricians sees patients from birth through their teenage years. The age of cut-off is somewhat arbitrary - some will see you until you turn 21, some want you to move on to a general practice physician when you turn 20...and general practice or "family doctors" will accept patients from newborn to 100-plus and refer when they encounter a patient who needs a specialist. |
