Do you think he will start to recover now?

My relative has been through so much, bowel cancer was operated on, but had spread to liver, he caught c.diff, then they still gave him chemo, which totally wiped him out, he got c.diff again as well as mrsa and wound infections.
He then had duodenal ulcers which ruptured, and severe colitis has resulted in an emergency colostomy.
If he survives the next few hours of intensive care and they can keep internal bleeding from recuring, will the colostomy removal mean he should be able to get over the c.diff etc, so that he can get stronger to fight the liver secondary?
He has been through so much, i wish that he did not have to suffer so much.

Your poor relative sounds like he has a battle on his hands now and unfortunately this is a time when you will all feel so helpless. I am sorry to hear how ill he is has been and continues to be. To be quite honest, things do not sound positive at all. I do hope that you and the rest of the family can gain comfort from the love and support of each other during this worrying ordeal. The hardest thing to cope with is a loved one suffering....I do things turn out ok but that you all find peace in which ever way it comes. Thinking of you all at this time x

Im sure he will be ok soon. My cousin was 12 when he contracted bowell cancer, and he has never bene out into remission. He sill has it now at the age of 17. He cant help it, and the drugs he is on seems to help keep it from developing any further at ythe moment

I hope so he has been through so much. He will be in my prayers.

I hope and pray that he will recover. I am not a medical person so I cant give you the answer. He seems to be a fighter though

I hope you and your family have the strength, through whatever your beliefs, to remain strong for his sake. Good luck.

sound like real drama, i do feel for your family. i hope he will get better soon, stay strong

I will send him some healing thought ok

With liver metastases his outlook is bleak. I doubt they cleared on chemo. It is a shame he has had to go through so much.

I'm very sorry to hear the pain you and your family are in. He doesn't have a second liver cancer this is colon cancer that has metastasized to the liver. He has really suffered. There is no good outlook here. One of the hardest things in the world is to watch someone you love slowly die in front of you. You never want to take away hope but I have to tell you is doesn't look to me like he'll make it. Whenever I am in a situation like this the kindest thing is to prepare the family for what eventually will be the outcome. Even if he does survive this ordeal it won't be long until he's gone. We'll all be praying for you, your family, and most importantly your relative to find peace. God bless you.

I am sorry

Whilst I would not pretend that I could suggest a cure for your relative at this stage, with respect, may I suggest that you at a conveniet moment possibly click on "Rational Spirituality" on the Dhaxem website. It may give you a new view on the meaning of life, and may bring physical suffering into a different, and posibly even a constructive perspective.

I hope that I am not offending you with this suggestion.

Best wishes to you and yours.

i dont know the answer only god does , but i will keep your family in my prayers.................
