What are the duties of a health care practitioner suspecting domestic violence in clients? |
where do we report such occurances in the county of Los Angeles mainly spousal abuse if you are a health care provider you are a mandated reporter and should report the suspicions to Child Protective Services, or for adults, Adult Protective Services. You are to report to the Authorities. For your particular area, check with Child Protective Agency who can refer you to the appropriate area. You can call your local police precinct as well. Failure to report is a violation of your license and can result in disciplinary action by your governing board. |
