What is the difference between dizziness, vertigo and light headedness? |
Do they have different meanings? And how can each one be explained? Yes there is a difference. Dizziness and light headedness are basically the same thing. Just a feeling of thinking you're going to fall or maybe mentally disoriented. Vertigo is actually the feeling of spinning around and around. That is the difference. So many times people will tag someone with vertigo when actually they don't have that last symptom, but that is actually what it is. The difference between dizziness and vertigo is that if you has vertigo the whole room spins in one direction, either to the left or the right. Vertigo also doesn't really stop when you close your eyes teh way that dizziness does. |
