Dizziness/vertigo/headache/...... help?

for the past week i have been dizzy... i went to the dr. last mon and she said it was an inner ear infection and put me on meclizine (it didn't work and made me sick) so i called back and they put me on transdermal-scop patch (it worked for a lil bit but i was back to being sick and started seeing double, so they told me to quit taking it) now i'm back to where i started and have added the blurred vision/double vision and a constant headache to my symptoms... the dr. said it should only last 5-7 days.... im on day 8 and miserable.... does anyone have any advice, suggestions, anything????

I have these symptoms from a car accident. I was diagnosed with BPPV-Benign Paroximal Positional Vertigo, Cervical Vertigo, Labrynthitis--which sounds like what you're going through, Bilateral Vestibular Dysfunction, and Meniere's Disease. Each of these have symptoms I'm suffering from but I don't have all of the symptoms of all so it's pretty hard to tell which one I have.
I read that if you take any medications for helping the vestibular system can make the situations worse. But you can try Promethizine. It does curb the dizziness but it may knock you out after two hours. I have a low tolerance for medication and Promethizine will put me to sleep like a baby.
I also will be getting in contact with a head and dizzy clinic in Chicago. I will be seeing a doctor by the name of Dr. Timothy Hain. Please go to a head and neck specialist and request a ENG. They're more accurate than a MRI and CT scans.

could be symptoms of meniere's disease.....check with an ENT. also, have you had a MRI or CT of your head? these are also symptoms of chiari malformation, although the headaches are in the back of your head and only during coughing or other straining movements.
