Dizziness? Vertigo?

Hey Folks,
As of lately, it's been happening a while, everynow and again I have really bad vertigo, it is pretty constant throughout the day, and at some points, I'll be sitting there and it will catch me off guard like somebody just grabbed me and shook me and I have to hold on to something or I feel like I'll fall. I have earaches sometimes, not constant though, and I always have like a numbing feeling in my brain like I'm about to pass out.
Other symptoms I've noticed are that I have to squint a lot, outside, and inside, I don't know if this says soemthing about it. Everyone keeps telling me it's an inner ear infection, but I don't know how bad the ear aches have to be.
Also, I don't know if this is the start of seizures or something. Anyone with experience please help me out. Thanks.

Oh, and also I see mto notice the dizziness more if I'm sitting and I look down.

have you been to the doc about an ear infection?? if not, goooo, my wife has had vetigo, and she had to undergo ear docs and heart docs. also anxiety can cause it, but not to severe i didnt think. She had nothing wrong with either and they put it as a case of anxiety, pot will also cause it even if you used it in the past, marijuana has long term effects people dont realize, but i still smoke up, lol

Try a chiropractor.

Inner ear infections may not hurt at all. My hubby had one, and the only symptom he had was vertigo. I suggest you go to the dr asap, this could be something serious like stroke, siezure, or aneurism.

This involves the semicircular canals of your inner ear. See an ENT man for diagnosis and help.

my mom had vertigo. You may have it but you should go to a doctor.

You NEED to see a phisician. There could be numerous causes for the symptoms you are having. Certainly sounds like it could be the cause of an inner ear infection, however it could be something far more serious.

My Mother has it!! I think it is passed on from generations. My Mother has passed out from it!! Vertigo is not good to have.
Ask your doctor for Vertigo pills. They have prescription pills at the drug store here in Canada.
I also know that if u get sick- like the flu, The Vertigo comes on stronger!
Something to do with the fluids in Ur ear. My Mom had to go to the hospital 3 times and put intervenes in her. Just so the Vertigo can become equal in her ears.
My friend I feel for you!!

YOU SHOULD SEE YOUR DOCTOR. MY UNCLE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS. HE ALSO WOULD GET SICK TO HIS STOMACH, HE SAID IT FELT LIKE BEING DRUNK OR LIKE FOOD POISONING, BUT THEN HE WOULD LOSE HIS EQUILIBRIUM AND PASS OUT. HE FOUND OUT HE HAS A DISEASE CALL MINNERS (NOT SURE ON SPELLING) DISEASE. IT BASICALLY EFFECTS YOUR INNER EAR AND CAUSES YOU TO LOSE YOUR EQUILIBRIUM.

Have you been to a doctor? This will rule out the inner ear infection. If you have an ear infection and don't treat it, you might have some hearing loss. Also, I notice that your age is 23. Do you play your music really loud? This can cause some inner ear problems, and thereby you can get vertigo. Any kind of loud noises that you might be subjected to {like maybe at work} on a daily basis can cause inner ear imbalances. Whatever the cause, you need to see a doctor. Your hearing is important for the rest of your life, and you shouldn't take the chance on harming it!

This sounds alot like what my mom has been suffering from. After years of being told it is an inner ear infection and several trips to the ER for it as the vertigo leads to nausea & passing out, the internal medicine doctor we found has diagnosed it as migraines. He has given her Imitrex that she takes when she gets the "feeling" and the Imitrex takes care of it.

I know it sounds strange that it could be a migraine, but with the light sensitivity & dizziness I would check it out. Go see an internal medicine doctor. I know how this gets you down & screws up everything
