Cures for acute dizziness and Vertigo? Natural cures or solutions?

Had my ears checked and could find nothing. A year ago when I got two bad episodes and was in bed for a week with the room spinning the doctor said I had Labrinthytis and there is no cure. Over this last year I still have a constand problem when I lay down and get up or move to fast. It is awful what can I do?
Any websites to find out what could be causing this?

I am in my early 50's. I was put on meds but to use only when a bad spinning happens. Doctors dont find anything.

I have this. We found out that I have Menieres and a clotting disorder called Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome. Aspirin and Coumadin helped alot.

But, I still get attacks. This was I suggest for prevention. Watch your salt intake. Fluid build up in your inner ear can set this stuff off. Watch your caffiene intake. For some reason that seems to stir mine up.

Ask your doctor for Meclizine. That helps with the nausea and slow down some of the spinning. And for the really bad times, I have Valium on hand to deaden that nerve to the inner ear.

These are some other drugs that I didn't know about until I read my Nursing2006 magazine. Dexamethasone and Promethazine that can help severe vertigo.

I have dizziness and headaches. Dr thinks it's Meniere's. I was also told to limit salt and caffeine. I am having more tests to confirm. Dr said he may try a water pill. Report It

Try to have some ginger. Get a nice smoothie drink with ginger in it. Let me know how it works. Ginger has been found to be one of the few natural substances that helps in sea sickness...else, get prescription.

If you're a teenager, you'll probably outgrow it in time. Meanwhile, continue to be careful in your movements. Make sure you're getting proper nutrition and lots of water: For a while I didn't, and I had an awful time with vertigo.

I know this may not be the answer you're looking for, but it worked for me.

Good luck!
