Knee cap dislocation. anyone here an ortho or experienced this?

i dislocated my knee cap three times. one each year. the third one just happened a while ago. and i remember my doctor telling me that they may operate this if happened several times... do you guys know how many till they operate it?

didn't think that it is a specific number of times, but it is a severity of damage issue. Every time that happens the tendons on either side of your knee cap have the potential to to tear. once the tendons tear the harder it is to fix. I had to have or-tho surgery on my knee last year and they ended up having to cut the tendon on the right side of my right knee all the way down. to alleviate the tension on the other side of my knee. The surgery wasn't that bad. The recovery wasn't really bad either the worse part was physical therapy which I had to go through before and after the surgery. Non surgical solutions for you knees generally work out better because the knee is one of the most unforgiving joints in your body. If you do opt for surgery the scars aren't that bad and you normally only have to be completely bed ridden for one -two weeks. Hopefully this will help

i have dislocated my knee four times. chinese people(old school doctor in china) say that the problen are found in the vains and the nerves (they say swollen vains). coz everytime a dilocation happens, the vains are not in the same position that were before. does this happen to you? like runnin for a bit, like few blocks, and after the running your knees feels tired. or when u grab your knee certain parts feels like sore
dont try to junp or to jog coz is gonna be bad. go see your doctor they will probably say that u will need and operation.
