Why is complete dislocation of the knee so rare? Tendons anchor the cap top and bottom, keeping it pretty well in place. One can dislocate it to the side, but most injuries won't snap either tendon to the point the cap completely dislocates. because the knee joint is totally surrounded by 4 ligaments holding it in place.there's one on the front,at the back and on both sides |
