What is the difference between a dislocation and a reconstruction?

I just had the surgery and was looking at the surgery code and it did not change. Can any one help me

A dislocation is when the problem can be fixed with an adjustment or a brace.
Reconstruction is when they have to do surgery to fix a problem, like replacing a knee or a hip because it was shattered in an accident.

Dislocation is out of normal position. Reconstruction is rebuilt to a working position.

the code wouldn't change because the original diagnosis and subsequent treatment remain under the original code.

well it depends on the original grade of dislocation, if you can麓t go to your orthopedist but have your x-rays go to someone else, if not try calling your orthopedist, and ask him about rehab too
