What physical therapy do i need to do for case of hip dislocation? |
my bro. has a hip dislocation case and will be out in the hospital this week. What exercise should he do for that Make sure you consult with your doctor about this. Sometimes they may put him in a brace and let the hip joint scar in, making it tighter. If you do much PT initially you may not give it a chance to tighten and may actually stretch it out making it possible to dislocate again. If it is a result of a hip replacement, revision surgery is sometimes needed. ask your doctor With a hip dislocation, you will have to work on strengthening the muscles around the area to try to prevent it from poping out again, in this case with physio you would start off with passive assited excercises/ then graduate to active resisted. |

Get a plastic one...then you won't set the metal detectors off. Lighter too. ...I advice you minimum 3 weeks rest. Start any activities slow and increase the rate gradually. ...well it depends on the original grade of dislocation, if you can麓t go to your orthopedist but have your x-rays go to someone else, if not try calling your orthopedist, and ask him about rehab too |
