Discharge Disaster!!!!!?

I have been haveing ALOT of white and sometimes even yellow dischearge. I am 11 and I have not had my period yet. I've had discharge before but it stoped for about a year. So now I'm getting it again. I don't want to tell my mom cause I'm shy about talking to her about that stuff. I know it means that I'm gonna get my period soon but when? Some people say in a week or two when u first get it and others say in a year or two when u first get it. I'm all confused. When I feel the wet discharge in mi underwear, it always smells weired. I need to know when to expect my period.

You really should talk to your mom or another female family member about this because more personal questions will arise and alot of the answers you get online will be inappropriate or can confuse you even more. Dont be shy it's very natural for this to be happening. Besides your mom will need to buy the pads for you. Ask her to buy you panty liners to get the conversation going she should take the lead and ask you the questions making it easier to talk about it or my daughter wrote me a note because she was embarrassed. Good luck

I love your title. Anyway sorry nobody can say when you will get your period. JUST WAIT! Probably it will be the next year.

the best thing to do is wait and see

It depends what a lot means, actually..

im 12, it took me about a year. trust me, it doesn't go that fast

you have to tell your mom! It could be serious. And be sure to wear pads, just incase you have your period. Be prepared and honey tell your mom, you'll be fine =)

first of all you need to go to a docter. you have a disease if your discharge is yellow or smells bad. i had discharge for 4 years b4 i got my period so dont stress but seriously its urgent that you need to go to a doctor
i'm a girl i just changed my icon and name to a boy

u could get it very soon, or it could be another year. who knows?? girls freak out trying to figure out when they're gonna get it but it doesnt help any to know when u will get it. dont worry about it. u need to talk to your mom. if not, just wear panty liners. but u know, u will need to learn how to talk to ur mom about these things. take it from someone who knows.

there is no way of telling you exactly when..
you just need to make sure you are always prepared.
I wish i could tell you when but there is no way...
sorry hun.
good luck.

Trust me on this. No one can tell you when your going to start. Honestly I was 17years old when I started and was having a bit of discharge for two years before. you just have to watch yourself and watch for any abnormals. And yeah talk to your mom about this abit. have a mother and daughter thing or something.

You can borrow some of your mom's pantyliners when you are having heavy discharge. If there's any itch or pain ask your mom to take you to the doctor.

There is no exact way to tell. Every woman starts her period at different times, and there is no exact way to pinpoint that moment. The discharge may mean your period is coming, but that's not always the case. I had weird discharge for years before getting my first period, and I was perfectly healthy. However, I do remember the night before getting it I had this weird brown discharge in my panties. I kind of freaked out. The next morning I go to the bathroom and... well I think you can figure the rest out. Just wait it out and always make sure you have a spare pad, just in case :)

Hon, this is one thing that nobody can predict. Each woman is different and unique so each of us start at different times. First, the fact that you are getting a discharge that smells weird, I think you might have a yeast infection or candida.
I know it's tough to talk to your mom but you need to. Maybe you can write it on paper, put it in an envelope and give it to her one day when she's walking out the door to go somewhere. Tell her to read it when she's out. That way you don't have to face her directly but she'll have the info she needs. A Doctor needs to take a sample of your discharge to determine the right treatment. It's normal for us to get discharge and most women have it before starting their periods and at ovulation mid month. But it should be rather clear, thin, slightly whitish and without a smell. Thick, white, cottage cheese type discharge indicates a yeast infection. If it smells like fish, you have a different kind. Either way, you'll probably have to use a cream for seven days and possibly take some oral medication. So, please tell your mom so you can get this thing cleared up. And while you're at the Doctor, ask him or her about when you can expect your period. He or she won't know exactly when but there are physical signs that indicate when you're getting close! Good luck.

I think you might have a yeast infection and if i'm right you will have to tell your mom so she can take you to the doctor and get you some medicine. It's nothing serious but you will need medicine to treat it. Good Luck

If it is yellow and weird or foul smelling it could indicate a yeast infection and your mom needs to get you some products to clear it up from the drugstore. Just because u have discharge does not mean u are going to get your period soon...like i said it could mean a infection (could get it from bathing, tight clothes or panties, washing with fragranced soap, douche etc)...Just come out and tell your mom "i have been having some issues down there" she will ask u what and just tell her,i know its embarassing but i been there and done that when i was your age..thats what moms are for...good luck!

just carry some pads or pantyliners with you and then if you get your period, you will be prepared! or you can wear pantyliners when you have the discharge.

Probably soon. Carry a pad around with you as well as a feminine wipe and an extra pantyliner. I wear one every day because of the same discharge. It's fine.

Actually normal discharge shouldnt have a smell. It could be something else.

I am having that same problem. My friend told me I wont be having my period intill 3 years from now. I am also shy around my mother with that stuff to. I hope it turns out ok! ~good luck!

email me click on my profile and also i have another same thing exept at aim.com!
