Dental Work disaster.....HELP!!?

I had some root canals done some time ago and the sandy substance they pack it with fell out and inside this particular tooth there is blood drenched cotton!!! Is this normal? What should I do?! I stopped pulling it out in order to avoid pulling out a nerve or something!! Is this something the dentist did wrong? Should I sue them?

They probably need to be retreated. After root canals you need to have the temp filling and cotton removed and a permanent filling placed. you will get nowhere by suing them because you did not continue the proper treatment. After the temporary filling broke down bacteria was able to get inside your tooth.

Go to the dentist again. Bloody cotton sounds like they forgot something. Don't sue just have them do it again for free!!

OMG, they left dental cloth impacted into the tooth. First take pictures, call an attorney, find a new dentist. Your probably going to need some antibotics. That is so nasty. I would have his head!!!

With root canal therapy they place a small cotton pellet in the tooth first and then pack the tooth with a temporary filling material, usually like a soft putty like material (grey or white). This usually hardens with a few hrs.
You should have at least 2-3 visits for a correct RCT, sometimes there is a wee bit of blood due to the tooth dying, or if there is none it means the tooth was completly dead. i would leave it alone, go back to the dentist as bacteria can get into the canals and you will have to start over again. You need the temp filling replaced.
