Other than disability and sexuality, what other issues/ and problems face people with disabilities?

I have had custody of my retarded granddaughter all of her life. I have struggled with questions like, how do I protect her from sexual preditors? Should I have her tubes tied? Should she be on birth control?

When I die, who will take care of her. If I leave any money to her when I die, she can loose all of her government benefits ... so how can I be sure she is taken care of in the future? Where will she live? Will she ever be able to get a paying job? How much freedom can she have?

All of these are my questions ... but they all apply to her if you turn it around. Like she could be asking, "Will I ever be able to get a job?"

There is a lot of discrimination against disabled people ... especially those on medicaide. A lot of doctors can't make enough money from medicaide payments, so they refuse to treat handicapped people. So this is a question ... can I or will I be able to get decent medical care?

There are a lot more ... but this gives you a little idea of some of the issues for the disabled people (and their care givers) in the USA.

people with disabitys face a myrid of problems such as how to take a bath. will i be able to go to a regular school and if so will other students accept me. how will i pay my way though life. will i have sombody to help me when the person tacking care of me dies. what do i do when i have to use the bathroom and have no help. icould go on and on but the thing is things we do everyday pose giant problems for other disabled people.
