How do you treat people with disabilities?

Do you laugh at them or tease them or treat them like a normal person. I have a disability and know what it is like.

I dont laugh, tease people less fortunate as I am or my family are
It sounds bad but I feel sorry for anyone disabled and thank my lucky stars that I and my family are all fine

I work in an Assisted Living Program with 12 individuals with disabilities. I love them. They are some of the most unique people I've ever known, & it's my pleasure to serve them.

i respect them one ones perfect, did you know that there is soon going to be a site for people with disabilitys comming soon.i have some frends with disabilities.

With respect. It could happen to anyone at any time.

No, only morons do that..Ive worked with/helped people with disabilities before. and a lot of my family members own care homes for people with disabilities. Also when i get more into real estate and get going. I want my ultimate project to be building apartment complexes (with govt help) for handicap people. (handicap accessible)

I treat people with disabilities with the same respect and consideration that I have for normal people. Of course, I always try to be of assistance should I see that they need some help but that applies to non-disabled folks too.

I treat them like anyone else. I don't think it's fair to treat someone any differently just because of a disability. I mean this in the sense that there is no point being mean to them. just thank your lucky stars that you're fine. Fair enough, they need a little extra help at times, but they are still humans.

treat them like a normal person. don't make them feel uncomforatble.

make it so that no one is born into the world with a disability or disfigurment. Also institute more safety laws like stronger seatbelt laws, more mantory airbags so people don't get hurt in the first place. or even better, send doctors to prison if they knowing allow the diseased come into the world. We need more abortion in this counrty, not less. And ladies, stop going after nice guys and keep going for the donald trumps of the world. That way more more women are beautiful and guys will be cooler, stronger and better than ever.

Overnight I developed a disability that people cant see, and usually cant detect until people have known me a long time - and while I always thought that I tried to be sensitive to the needs of people with disabilities before, lemme tell ya, since then my thinking has changed quite a bit...And while the difference may seem subtle, its profound....its this simple....

People with disabilities do not need their needs acknowledged - as everyone else, they need thier essential dignity acknowledged.

I treat them with compassion and kindness. I work in special education so I spend everyday helping kids with disabilities. In my opinion the person with the real disability is the person who makes fun of someone because he or she feels that person is different. I know it's easier said than done, but don't let those people get to you. Ignore them... you are the better person.

You treat a person with a disability as if they don't have a disability. If it is a physical disability and you can help by opening a door, etc. do it - but don't treat them any differently. And where is the definition for "normal"...I' ve not seen one.
