Are there ever phsycial disabilities or impairments associated with Autism?

I know you can be born with a physical impairment and later get Autism also but are there any physical markers associated with the disease? My son is Autistic but also has phsysical mutations on different body parts. Are these related?

Sorry to hear about your son, but what a lot of people forget is that children who are born with autism can have more than one disability. I work with a little girl who is seven years old and has autism, severe developmental delay, vision problems, heart problems, bleeding disorder, sensory dysfunction disorder, and processing disorder. A lot of Dr.'s tell parents OK, your child has autism and then that's it. Have your son tested by a geneticist specialist. The little girl I am working with is going through metabolic and genetics testing too see if she also has a second disorder along with her autism. Good luck!
