Its a bacteria infection that affects the tonsils,pharynx,larynx,nose and skin.It produces a thick membrance which covers the area of inflammation.Diphtheria is a serious illness.It can lead to severe breathing problems,and also paralysis,herat failure,and also death.It has different symptoms like this :sore throat ,difficulty breathing,swollen lymph glands,and also gray membrane covering the throat and tonsils.And also Children in the US are routinely given a triple vaccine that includes diphtheria in their first year.
