Tetanus polio and diphtheria? What is the procedure like? |
I have to have the injection tomorrow! And you don't understand how scared i am of injections O_O. Like i need to know: Also, last time i had my TB injection, i fainted on the butterfly needle thing bit lol. God i'm well scared of needles :| i had mine in my left arm, there is no need for a urine sample and you won't feel a thing- trust me- I had mine just over a year ago and it's nothing! don't worry! just a simple procedure , they do it either one in each arm or usually they give both on the left arm .they don't take a urine sample . that is only done if you have side affects which is really rare. you get a red swelling area around the shot, and feels hot.. usually it disappears within a day or the next morning... no urine sample, just a shot in the arm. it doesn't matter which arm, it will either be on the top near your shoulder, or underneath in the fatty tissue below your armpit. it doesn't hurt all the bad. if you have had your mmr shot, that one is way worse. take a deep breathe, it will be over in a few seconds! good luck. and if you're afraid of needles, just ask them to use a smaller needle, or a butterfly needle. do keep in mind that it's not the needle that hurts you though, it's the medicine when it is pushed in. something foreign entering your glood flow. but once again, good luck. you can do it. just remember to breathe and close your eyes, don't tense up. |
