Does tetanus diphtheria shot hurt?

*** i really need to know me .. hurry up!

ALSO KNOWN AS (TD)

It does not hurt any more than any other vaccine shot. Once the smallpox vaccination left a small round scar on the upper shoulder where the vaccination was administrated. I am forty three and have received my small pox vaccination and do not have a scar. Most forty five and under will not have a scar from the smallpox vaccination.

No, this vaccination should not hurt any more than a shot normally does. So, go ahead and get your shot or your child's shots and don't worry. Anyway, keeping yourself and your children free from deadly disease should be of primary importance. Even if this shot hurt like heck, it is a small price and a small pain compared to the finality of a death when not vaccinated.

Good luck and much happiness your way always.

depends on your pain threshold. didn't hurt me

yes, but not as bad as getting the diseases that are infectious. It is a great thing toProtect Yourself. Then have the wholeFamily get one. They are required to go to school. Be Safe!!

any immunization process does not cause any hurt. however thepatient may get sick for severel days... and it is suggested to contact the doctor just for follow up. in all cases being sick after immunization is normal...

Any time a needle is inserted into the skin it will hurt. The skin is loaded with nerve endings. Today's one use very sharp needles make it hurt less. Try hanging your arm down to your side and wiggle your fingers as you get the shot. This loosens up the muscle and the needle goes in easily. If you stiffen up your arm it will hurt worse. After the shot the site may get reddish and sore. Try a warm wash cloth to the spot and some Tylenol for the discomfort. Be sure to check the Tylenol for correct dosage and only take it if you have safely taken it before.
