How can I find out what immunizations I've had? |
I need to get the following you should check with your parents to see if they have your shot record. i am a nurse for the health department and we have all patients on a computer database and we know what shots they have had and what shots they are lacking. you should also try asking at your local health department. you should have gotten most of these as a child before you started kindergarten.depending on your age whether or not you have had the hep b series. the tetanus and diptheria is due every 10 years so if you cant remember getting one of those then you probably need one. there is a new tetanus shot that has pertussis in it now. pertussis is what you got as a child for whooping cough and now the cdc has decided that its a good idea for adults to get a booster . this is a once in a lifetime booster and next time you will only need a tetanus. like i said though try the health dept. or your md. Your doctor or school or parents should have a record of them Ask your Mommie, there should be a record of this. Your parents should have your records. You had to have proof of these records for school. Try there to see if they still have your records. Or you can try your local heath dept. to see if they have records of it. Thats where I found mine. Ask a family member about past doctors. |
