Are there any diseases that affects the whole digestive system ?

Well if there are any disease that affects the whole digestive system , please tell me, and if not , at least tell me if there are any diseases that affects more than 4 organs in the digestive system. =]

LOL guys, i don't have any disease , specially this is a response to the first question -.-, this is actually a report =P

inflammatory bowel disease affects the whole digestive tract. It can be Crohn's disease(affects anywhere from the mouth, esophagus, stomach, small intestines, large intestines, anus, & rectum. UC affects only the large colon, rectum, & anus.

The medications used to treat these illnesses have side effects that do affect the pancreas, liver, gallbladder, and even blood count. That is why it is so very important to keep MD appts., have the required blood tests, etc. to make sure that the organs are not affected.

You are not giving me much to go on here?? What are the major symptoms ? tell me off the list if you feel awkward about it . My wife suffers from several digestive system conditions/diseases. Email me if you would like more details.

You might want to research Crohn's Disease. It's an autoimmune disorder (autoimmune= your body's immune system attacks its own cells because it thinks that part of your body is foreign, or nonself) and can affect all of your digestive system, from the mouth to the small intestine to the large intestine.

I agree with the second answerer. Crohn's Disease is a very serious one. O.o
