ACNE help? |
I have really bad (probably medical grade) acne, almost every skin pore on my face has a small white pimple under the skin, these all gradually get bigger and then swell up. I also have Crohn's disease (auto immune digestive disease). The stuff my doctor gave me was useless and I have tried Vilantae and Exposed skin care kit off of the net. None of this has made even the slightest difference, are there any products that work or what help can I get? as having acne makes life hell! Because I have Crohn's disease, I have to leave out Wheat and Milk (from any animal) from my diet, as I am very allergic to them and have been for nearly a decade. Hi There I already had the knowledge on some of this answer, but there are some interesting points that should provide extra help -> thankyou all for your advice! Report It This has worked miracles for both me and a good friend of mine: I believe you need an oral supplement along with an external system. Have you been to actual dermatologist or did you visit your regular doc? Any derma should be able to help you with this problem. I have heard good things about differen gel. However, whenever you start a new external product, your acne always gets worse before it gets better. I have heard good things about Arbonne products. However, I do not know the active ingredient in that product or the ones you have used. For example, if you tried products with benzoyl product, you might try something with salcylic acid (much gentler treatment) or vise versa. Once you start a product you should at least stick with it for a few months and then measure the results. Switching products all of the time is only going to wreak havoc on your skin. Also, up you water intake. If you already drink your 8 glasses a day, drink 12. Water helps. Don't touch skin, ever unless in the act of washing it. Don't "pop" pimples as this equals scars and introduces more bacteria and damage to the surrounding pores. OK lets be real, acne's a b**** and it's the worst thing to get over but its not impossible. The best thing out there for it right now is Acutane, but, it is not for everyone that's why it is only obtained by a Dr's prespription. Some people tend to be allergic to the medicine, for a few percentage it does not work for, but usually it does, for everyone, even though after you stop using it the acne comes back, like with every other medicine after the treatment is over. It is really harsh on your body though, for women they can't take contraceptives or have kids due to some serious problems that can occur while taking it, other people experience horrible peeling and dryness. I would strongly recommend talking with a dermetologist, as regular doctors don't always know what to do about acne. It might be possible that you have acne rosacea. |
