Dieting?????


Hey, Im trying to lose the few pounds of christmas weight i have put on. If i eat mixed nuts (Brazil nuts, walnuts, peanuts and raisins) are they good for me. I read on the back and it said that the fat content is very high but the saturated fats are quite low. Can anyone shed some light for me please?

nuts are real good for you. you can eat as much as you want but if you want tolose weight its best to keep it to a handful a day because they are very high in fats.It is a good soure of essential fats for your health like omega and contains more calcium than milk(almonds) and vitamin d

I am also facing the same problem after Diwali. Forget the past. Follow this. Eat heavy breakfast without butter,ghee and low sugar. Eat normal lunch with low salt, more fruits and vegetables or else sandwiches of low fat butter again with fruits and vegs. Evening take lemonade or tea with low sugar with some popcorns without salt. Night wheat maggie, fruits and vegetables and for munching you can take popcorns without salt. Please keep away from rice. Eat chapatis without salt and oil. I am doing it and I feel very light. Do this for two months and then slowly change your diet to normal. Bye RANI

Nuts do have quite a high fat content even though they are good for you, pretty much its another case of "everything in moderation". Its actually suggested that you only eat a few nuts a day. Try this link: www.vegsoc.org/info/nutsseeds.html
