Dieting not working? |
ok so i have been on a diet and what not and exercising i was watching what i was eating and what not and yet i was still gaining weight and before when i wasnt even bothering with dieting and what i ate i was wasnt losing weight but i wasnt gaining either i have been on diets before and i always gain weight so idk what to do anymore i feel like giving up b/c it seems pointless to be on a diet and exercising and gaining weight idk what would be the ideal diet for me or what not. any help or advice would be great thank you. I don't know if you have the funds to do this...but really try to save your money and pay for a personal trainer. Even if its just a couple times a month--Somebody to tell you exactly what to do to target specific areas. If you are doing the same workout every day your body gets used to it. Switch it up and do circuts. I'm not sure how much weight you want to lose or what your diet is, but if you are truly giving it your 110% I think you should talk to your doctor, this could be a medical condition (thyroid etc.) that you cannot control and your busting your butt for nothing. You might be able to get on some meds that will help you control it. Also I would make an appt w/ a nutritionist. Sometimes we think we are eating the "healthy" stuff and are really doing worse for ourselves. I once saw an Oprah show that she said something like--Anything naturally green eat plenty of. Try to eat celery, broccoli, lettuce and anything else of that and you really can't gain a bit from them. I don't know how hard you have been working out or what exactly you have been doing but if you are weight lifting just keep in mind that muscle weighs more than fat. If you are gaining muscle you will definitely gain weight even though you are still dieting and probably losing fat. Perhaps your body doesn't need to loose. Or are you really watching what you eat. Try writing down every single thing you eat for 1 week. Then see what you are doing wrong. Sometimes it may be too much salt, or too big of a portion. Did you know 1 serving of meat or chicken or fish is the same size as a deck of playing cards? I eat 6 times a day and eat 5 to 7 fruits and vetg a day, plus lean meat or fish or poultry. I also have fat free diary daily and 64 oz of water and I keep loosing weight just fine. I have been doing the Biggest Looser diet and it works great and is healthy too. |
