Dieting help? |
I have recently decided to stop dieting because I was a good weight. I didn't go crazy and eat all the junk food I could though, I just stopped worrying about calories and started eating when I was really hungry. Well...I gained weight. I decided to diet again and my problem is motivation. I can't seem to get in the same mindset I was in when I dieted earlier. I always tell myself I'll eat better "tomorrow" though it never happens. How do I get motivated again? i advise you to drink green tea 1-3 glasses per day is enough for you're age.. green tea speeds up your metabolism Basically i would try and avoid dieting to maintain your weight. Going to the gym once a week for an 2 hour intense session helps to speed up you metabolism and hence keep the weight of plus you can see its effects i find it motivating but eveyone is differen hope i helped :) I had this same problem when I started dieting. I found that the best way for me to get back on a routine was to pre-plan my meals, and when I say pre-plan I meant that I would make them ahead of time also. I would also have different snacks picked out so that I did not get the temptation to start eating when i didnt need it. Another good tip is to get some low calorie gum, like wrigleys and carry it with you, then when you have a craving to eat, just pop a piece of gum and the chewing will actually help supress your craving. This worked for me, if it will for you I dont know, but hope it helps. Write down your goals on paper and put down that when you reach your goal weight you will treat yourself something. Seeing it on paper can help. Chromium tablets can help curb sweet cravings, especially at that time of the month. Protein helps keep you fuller for longer. Protein from lean chickens, fish, red meats, eggs, nuts and dairy are good sources. Eating 260-300 calorie meals 5 times a day will keep your metabolism going and help keep you satisfied. Just do it, and force yourself to do it. Next time you say "you'll do it tomorrow", really focus hard and force yourself to do it NOW! Give yourself a treat day where you can have a chocolate or Subway, but don't go overboard with it. tell your closest family members....tell you mom not to buy those "food cravings" of yours... and tell them to regularly remind you..i think its the best way...abstinence is the keyword though.... Spring and summer are coming!!! I would start dieting again (or just eat healthy most of the time). |
