Dieting probems and motivation?

I have always been really good at crash dieting until now. I have always had a problem with my weight even when i was skinny. Now i am the heaviest ive ever been-im not super fat, but chubby. I used to be able to go a day eating around 500 cal. but now i cant do that. I would sometimes gain weight back, but not more then i had started. i am fine with that. I dont know how to get to where i used to be and how i used to do that, i just dont care as much when i actually choose to eat something but i feel so guilty afterwards and make a plan of what and how many cal. i will eat the next day, but never fall through. I know healthy diet & exercise is the best way, but im wondering from people who actually crash diet and stuff, how they do it? any suggestions or tips? and from anyone how to stay motivated and do the right thing when the food is right in front of you

Hi. I think I have a way you can stay motivated. I created something I call The Milford Weight Loss Challenge with the help of a friend. There are hundreds of diets out there but I wanted to come up with something different. You just choose any food plan you want to that鈥檚 healthy and use the Incredible Weight Loss Challenge to keep you motivated.

Feel free to adjust or change any part of The Challenge if you think you can make it work better for you. I would love to hear back from you about how you are doing. Email me if you have any questions or comments. My email address is TheChallenge@dcemail.com. Good luck in achieving your Ultimate Weight Loss Goal!

THE MILFORD WEIGHT LOSS CHALLENGE

The Challenge

The challenge of this weight loss plan is to lose more pounds than your Weight Loss Partner (WLP). Your WLP can be a friend, spouse, lover, mate or anyone else who wants to lose weight with you. Both partners must each agree to lose the same pre-determined number of pounds. That number is the Ultimate Weight Loss Goal (UWLG). Whoever reaches the UWLG first wins The Challenge and an Ultimate Reward.

The winner of The Milford Weight Loss Challenge may choose from any one of the following Ultimate Rewards:

ULTIMATE REWARDS:

1) A clothing-shopping spree paid for by the loser. Maximum value is to be agreed upon before the start of The Challenge.

2) An elaborate night out paid for by the loser (Example: NYC, limo, concert, Broadway, fancy Restaurant, etc.) Maximum value is to be agreed upon before the start of The Challenge.

3) Winner has money donated to their favorite charity in their name by the loser. The amount is to be agreed upon before the start of The Challenge.

4) The loser pays the winner in cash. The amount is to be agreed upon before the start of The Challenge.

5) Both partners may create any Ultimate Reward they wish to. This Ultimate Reward must be agreed upon before the start of The Challenge.

Monthly Motivation Point Plan

In order to keep both partners motivated there will be a Monthly Challenge. The winner of the Monthly challenge will be whoever has the most points according to The Monthly Motivation Point Plan (MMPP). The MMPP assigns one point for each pound lost in the current month and one point for each day you work out aerobically. Example: 8 pounds lost and 12 days working out = 20 points. Length and types of workouts that qualify are to be agreed upon before the start of The Challenge. Only one point per day can be earned for working out. To determine the Monthly Challenge winner both partners are to be weighed on the same date of every month. The date will be the same date that the Challenge began on. Consult your physician before starting any exercise program.

The winner of the Monthly Challenge may choose from any one of the following Monthly Rewards:

MONTHLY REWARDS:

1) Home cooked dinner served by the loser. Meals to be agreed upon before the start of The Challenge.

2) The loser pays the winner for each pound the winner has lost. The amount paid per pound must be agreed upon before the start of The Challenge.

3) The loser pays the winner in cash. The amount is to be agreed upon before the start of The Challenge.

4) A morning, afternoon, or evening of the winner鈥檚 choice. Examples: baseball game, dinner, dancing, massage, movie, roller skating, etc. Loser pays if there is any cost involved. Activities and maximum costs to be agreed upon before the start of The Challenge.

5) Both partners may create any Monthly Reward they wish to. This Monthly Reward must be agreed upon before the start of The Challenge.

The Restart Option

In addition to Monthly Weigh-Ins there will also be a Weekly Weigh-In so that each partner can see where he or she stands in terms of weight loss. If one partner falls way behind the other they may earn the right to force a Restart. A Restart means that both partners are considered back at zero pounds lost for purposes of The Challenge. In other words, The Challenge is restarted. This option will prevent any one partner from getting totally discouraged and giving up. This might seem unfair if you are winning but remember that you may also need to use the Restart Option yourself eventually. The Ultimate Rewards and Monthly Rewards remain the same. Since one or both partners have already lost some weight a new Ultimate Weight Loss Goal should be mutually agreed upon once a Restart is forced.

There is only one way to earn a Restart. A partner must win 3 out of any 4 consecutive Weekly Weigh-Ins. Once a partner earns a Restart it must be used immediately or it is forfeited. However a Restart can be earned again at any time. Only one Restart may be used per person per Challenge. If after using up their only Restart one partner again falls hopelessly behind the other they should continue to compete for the Monthly Rewards as motivation.

The Nutritional Plan

Partners choose the food plan of their own choice. Consult your physician before starting any food plan.
