Dieting trouble...HELP? |
Well I have been dieting for nearly three weeks now. I started at 163, (I am 5 9) and the next week I was 155. (crazy i know) The next week I was 153. This week so far, it was been 5 days since my official weight in day, and i Havent lost an ounce, even though I have been working out every day, and have been sticking very carefully to my 1200 calorie diet. ?"D no idea what u talking about That is probably is low as you should go because of your height. Give your body a break and maintain your weight for now. Good Luck! you will come to a period when you won't loose anything. don't give up......there will be other weeks when you do not loose. this is natural. just hang in there The first bit of weight you lost was water weight and it's very common to lose weight right away when you begin a regiment. However, it's also very common to see a drastic reduction in weight after that first week. Don't give up. I don't know what kind of exercise you are doing, so it could be that you are not performing at a rate that stimulates your body's ability to burn calories. If your heart rate is too high during exercise your body will go into save mode. You need to lift weights to increase muscle density, which increases your metabolism and helps your body burn fat. Also, you need to eat all throughout the day, and not skip meals. If you skip breakfast, for example, your body will store all the calories that you consume at lunch. And one more thing, I don't think you're taking in enough calories. If your working out for thirty minutes every day, lets say, you're probably burning 2300 calories approximately. You'll need about 1800 calories to keep up your metabolism and keep you out of starvation mode. Eat more proteins. stick with the healthy eating and exercise!! adding exercise should help you maintain, if not lose more, and tone up. I'm the same height and 153 sounds about normal? I'm 140 and I'm pretty thin. Sometimes its not the number it's the way you carry it.. so keep up the healthy eating and get to the gym. YOu may need to increase your calorie intake a little when working out. Add healthy low fat snacks, plenty of fruit veggies, and water! |
