sexual perforamance for men?
I am 38 yrs old, pretty healthy other than a touch of high blood pressure that i take medication for. I am a smoker, but working on quitting. So far, I still perform well sexually. I want to start doing things now to delay loosing the zip on my fastball later and/or to regain whatever zip may already be gone..
I know all of the junk advertised for increased size is bunk, but I wondering if there are dietary supplements or a combination of them, that will help to maintain a stronger performance, increase volume of ejaculate, etc. I have heard that Vitamin E is good for prostate health. Anyone know what kind of daily amount I should take? Any other supplements that may help?
I apologize if my question seems sketchy, i am trying to keep it from sounding in any way inappropriate in case youngsters come here.
Thanks in advance for any info. Common herbal supplements that are readily available at your neighborhood drug store or vitamin store include Tribulus Terrestis or Yohimbe.
Tribulus is marketed as a prohormone and many men do have good results with it.
Yohimbe is marketed as a supplement that will increase blood flow to the penis. While many men do report good results with it as well, common side effects are headaches and nausea if you take large amounts. The other thing to keep in mind about yohimbe is it it will lead to an increased heart rate and you may not be able to sleep after taking it. (Yohimbe is also found in many weight loss supplements, including certain types of Xenadrine and Hydroxycut. There it's stacked with caffeine and variants of ephedrine and aspirin to increase the heart rate and boost metabolism.)
Another supplement called Horny Goat Weed, despite its name, has been found to be useful by some men as well.
Many of these herbal supplements can be purchased fairly inexpensively, and you may want to try one or two to see which works best for you. Since everyone's different, not everyone experiences the same effects from the supplements.
For overall prostate health, a popular herbal supplement since the early 1990s has been saw palmetto. (If you're taking GNC's Mega Men vitamins, this will be among its ingredients.)
As far as Vitamin E is concerned, while it may be reported good for prostate health, a year or two ago it was in the news because people who were taking more than 1,000 mgs per day were shown in at least one study to be at a higher risk for heart attack. You may want to limit your intake of Vitamin E to roughly 400mgs per day. Tribulus is a natural testosterone booster and I've known guy who have taken it and reported that it boosted their sex drive, not sure about performance though.
There are various formulas which claim to improve these kinds of things, one of the most common ingredients is arginine which is an amino acid which boosts nitric oxide production, this has been reported in some to provide stronger erections, but none of this is conclusively backed by any scientific evidence.
As far as general nutritional supplements, there isn't really much that will conclusively have any major noticeable benefit in terms of sexual performance.
They sell millions worth each year, but it's mostly a waste. As far as I can tell is all a bunch hocus pocus mumbo jumbo Eye of newt potion BS. Quit smoking and that should help O and cut back on coffee. other than that if u got it u got it if not then... you poor b@stard. |
