I have a complicated dietary problem need advic?see details?

I am 27 yrs old 5'9 and weigh 350 pounds

I had severe anorexia at the age of 19 and starved myself
down to 134 pounds at the time from a obese weight of 330 pounds

I started eating normally again and kept my calories at 1600-1800
per day but my weight balooned.I was a vegan, and no matter how
I restricted food and calories I kept gaining more and more weight
it has been 7 yrs and I am obese, sick and have digestive problems
Every time I eat my blood sugar crashes,I only eat gluten free food
brown rice, beans, olive oil, fruits and no sugar,im allergic to soy
nuts, eggs, peas and several legumes. It has been suggested to me
by a doctor that I have insulin resistane and PCOS,and that I should
be on a low carbohydrate diet. But everytime I START IT im not used
to eating meats, and my blood sugar crashes all the time. The funny
thing is when I EAT carbs even brown rice with beans my blood sugar
drops and I get reactive hypoglycemia and pee all day, feel shakey,
jittery and get heart palpitations.I am suffering from IBS and havent
had a normal bowl movement in years I have diarrhea every time I eat.

How can I keep my blood sugar from crashing on a low carb diet?
I feel so sad because though I am obese I havent been able to eat
or enjoy food due to allergies.....SOMEONE PLZ HELP ME
MY DOCTOR SAYS I MUST LOOSE WEIGHT BUT HOW??I
HAVE TRIED,I FEEL SICK AND TIRED AFTER EATING I HAVE
CFIDS CHRONIC FATIGUE AND LOW THYROID!

Legumes, beans and rice and grains whole or not are Just like taking in SUGAR!! If you consume FRUITS this too constitutes as SUGAR even though it isn't a refined.Natures sugar can also add problems. In ground Carbs are the ones you MUST AVOID,they are basically a grain and they both turn into sugar that causes weight gain.Another VERY BIG FACTOR is the types of meat you eat...ORGANIC is best because a Cow eating CORN is going to mess up his system and then get passed onto you!!Same with all MEAT PRODUCTS!! Do you ever consume DAIRY or eat ANY frozen/processed foods??? Diet FOODS? Many have GM SOY used in them and then you don't even want me to start on the SYNTHETIC CHEMICALS they USE instead of REAL/HEALTHY ingredients!!! CORN is a GRAIN not a Veggie!! Soy & Corn are the 2 leading genetically modified foods in almost everything.Do you eat bread? Its in there!! Milk, cheese, butter its COMPLETELY DEPLETED of the NUTRITION they SAY it OFFERS!! Margerine is made from SOY OIL!!(everyone I read the label on)!! Diet SODA is made with ASPARTAME NOT ONLY A HAZARD TO YOUR HEALTH BUT YOU WILL GAIN MORE WEIGHT FROM DRINKING DIET SODA THEN YOU WILL LOSE!!!! SOY is NOT as good for you as they say it is,it BLOCKS MINERALS from absorbing into your system it needs and ppl MUST eat FISH/MEAT in a higher amount to compensate its hazards plus a genetically modified is just EVIL!!! HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP found in BREAD,CEREAL,SODA,CATS MILK...the list goes on and on...Hey if you are SERIOUS about help feel free to contact me via email and I will give you the more detailed 411 on YOUR governments allowance on ALL this including MSG still FOUND in FOODS just under different names and HOW to READ the LABELS for the TRUTH on the QUALITY/POOR QUALITY food has..Canned is poor and lifeless,pesticides,insecticides,fertili... etc are going into your foods and this gets into your anatomy.CANCER is NOT a DISEASE nor is IBS they are the CONSEQUENCES of ones DIET!!! Cancer isn't a virus nor a bacteria this is the response from POOR NUTRITION & time invested.Children are the PRIMARY TARGET these days!!! Hey, DO YOU TAKE ANY MULTI-VITAMINS/individual? Take any Cosmetic,Deoderant,Laundry / Dish-soap, toothpaste, city water(flouride), perfumes, etc, ANY food product listing the ingredients and YAHOO it like NITRATES...See the sites listed...

well after a long time of not being able to eat ur going to lose weight anyway. try eating small amounts of protein every 1-2 hours because it stabilizes blood sugar.

You need to exercise. It sounds like you eat healthy enough, but you need to exercise every day. You should start out very slow (15 mins on the elliptical). Then gradually work you way up to high intensity cardio that you can sustain for 1 hour or so. Your body has to burn calories if you are taking in less than you are burning to live.

If you have been eating rice and the other things listed for a long time now and have not eaten meat you may be confusing your blood sugar with your body trying to process the meat. I was at 280 after I injured my back and I dropped down to 170 just by eating more in the morning than in the evening. For breakfast I would have eggs and sausage or bacon. Then for lunch I wasn't too picky because of the big breakfast I wasnt even that hungry yet so I would have a sandwich or something light. Then for dinner I would have meat and a veggie then maybe a pasta or potato. But with this I actually did TaeBo and it really helped. At first I could only do five minutes of it, but each day I just kept trying to go for longer each time. Heck, if all I got through were the stretches at least I was not sitting on my butt doing nothing. For your IBS though make sure you are getting enough fiber and consider taking a daily vitamin. Good luck!

Have you tried seeing a Kinesiologist? These Dr's specialize in finding weaknesses and can advise on dietary changes to assist in strengthening these weaknesses. I have a weak ileocecal valve...after seeing the Kinesiologist and following his instructions my stomach a bowel troubles are gone.

Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. Chew each morsel at least 32 times to activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.

Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.

U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry.

Do you have Celiac Disease? Is that why u are on the gluten free diet? If u do not have celiac there is no reason to be gluten free (other than allergy). Perhaps you should be eating gluten?

Or perhaps you do really have Celiac and u aregetting gluten and not knowing it (which can cause bloat and weight gain) Also if u are newly diagnosed wtih Celiac, it is very common for ppl to gain weight bc their body is suddenly absorbing nutrients.

I suggest you see a dietician and a second doc (perhaps one who specializes in natural health and food allergies--your doc doesnt sound very helpful.) Maybe a naturopath could help you?

Sorry I cant be more helpful. Good luck and God bless.
