Large intake of Cola?

Daily I drink 2 litres of cola, I get one hell of a sugar boost from this. Is there any dietary concerns I should consider.

Obviously it may cause dehydration of cells, as the blood will have a lower water potential due to saturation with sugar, and the water will move from the cells to the blood. Could this increase blood pressure?

It is impossible for me to get fat, I just do not gain weight, so I have not been very concerned with my diet until recently. I try to cut down on the animal fat containing food, as I wish to avoid cholesterol build up. Apart from that I currently have no worries, just checking up on my irregular intake of cola... I calculated that in a litre of the cola I drink, there is over 400 calories, and 106grams of sugar in the litre. So a litre is my breakfast, and a litre is my supper.

It might increase the likelihood of developing diabetes later in life. Check your blood sugar level with a cheap kit, 1-2 hours after drinking 2L. If its very high, your pancreas may be struggling. Oh and its eating your teeth away too. The enamel will be thinning.

Holy cow !! I think you answered your own question....

you'll just rot your teeth away

Such a high dosage of caffine can cause a rapid or irregular heart beat in some people. Over time, it might cause health problems.

in every can of coke there is 8 spoonfuls of sugar- that takes care of your energy rush and possible weight gain. Stay away from all fizzy drinks they are bad for you!!!!!!!!

omg ur teeth will also fall out!!!

yes put vodka in it.

Just reduce the intake.

Do you think you may be addicted to it?

Check you teeth to see if the acidity is stripping your teeth.

flippin Nora!!!!
make sure you brush your teeth two or three times a day otherwise you'll have no teeth left.
also go to your doctors and ask them if the amount you drink daily could result in you developing diabetes.. this is really bad especially if you get it later in life as you could die!!!
something to do with your pancreas....

Well you're a caffeine addict for starters!

Coke rots your teeth, weakens your bones and irritates your stomach. The massive sugar intake makes you very high risk for diabetes, to the point where it would be a good idea to be tested now. Coke also dehydrates you, it doesn't count as part of your necessary fluid in take for the day, so please do try and drink a couple of glasses of water!

People clean their cars and their loos with the stuff for heaven's sake! Doesn't that give you a hint!

2 litres of cola daily?
that is a lot.
