As far as sports nutrition goes, what level of carbs and protein is considered "high"? |
I'm taking a dietary supplement called N.O. Explod and it recommends eating a diet high in carbs and protein. How do I know what "high" is? Very good question! As far as protein is concerned, about .82 grams/lb of lean mass (1.8 gram/kg) has been shown in experiments to be the maximum that the body can effectively use. Any more than this simply becomes empty calories. |
