How can PEANUT BUTTER be healthy for you?

How is it healthy? I'm looking at some Peanut butter (Peter pan) reduced fat and I can't believe the label.

for 2tbsp(36g)

Calories- 190
Total fat- 11g (18%)
Saturated fat 2g(10%)
Sodium- 160mg
Total Carb- 15g
dietary fiber- 2g
Sugars 5g
Protein- 8g

How in the world can it be healthy for you with all those calories and fats? I mean is it suppose to help gain weight? Because I heard that it's suppose to help loose weight and body fat./

It's supposed to be the Protein in it.

PROTEIN
GREAT SOURCE OF PROTEIN
Hmm only 190 calories, huh? Mine has 200 calories for 2 tbsp

The fat in PB is good for you,....and protein

The kind you get is not healthy.
Natural peanut butter is becasue it is only mashed peanuts and salt
Peanuts are full of vitamin E, protein, and good monounsaturated fats
Those fats help your heart

Peanut butter isn't unhealthy overindulgence is. Nuts oils are a source of good cholesterol, fiber also good for cholesterol, not to mention cleaning out those intestines. Protein waiting to be built into muscles.

natural peanut butter is good for you...not that jiffy stuff

a good source of protein and good fats in natural peanut butter

a lot of brands of peanut butter like jiffy..have salt and partially hydrogenated oils

natural peanut butter is just ground, roast peanuts (you can even buy it salt-free). Eating this is much like eating peanuts, though the fact the peanuts are ground may raise the glycaemic index.

As with most nuts, natural peanut butter is high fat (lots of good fats), contains some protein too, and is pretty high Calorie. Great stuff if you're wanting to put on weight (goes really nicely in smoothies), something to eat in moderation if you're trying to lose weight.
