Diarrhea???? |
for the last while i have been cramping up when i have feel the need to have a bowel movement sometimes i am a little constipated, but last night my husband vomited once and that was it i woke up this morning with the urge to make a bowel movement and i went and then a little while ago it was almost like there was clear mucous and soft, what could this be? diarrhea?? Yikes! yuk yuk yuk Sounds like you and your husband have both picked up a stomach virus or have some food poisoning. It's nothing to worry about (other than how unpleasant it can be) as long as it only lasts a couple of days. Any longer than that and you probably ought to see a doctor. A stomach virus tops the list of possibilities, especially with your husband also having symptoms. Not much you can do except let it run its course and treat the symptoms with some Maalox. Imodium AD will help if the diarrhea is excessive, say more than 6 bowel movements in a 12 hour period. Remember to drink plenty of fluids but stay away from milk products if you can. Restrict your food intake for a day or so. Hope you feel better soon.... This sounds like you have the stomach flu (stomach virus). It could just be for 24 hours.....or even a week.....the white soft stuff actually is mucous....it is in the lining of your intestines....your body is trying to fight it.....do u have stomach pain???.....stomach viruses lead to diarrhea! so no worry.....when i have it....i eat mashed potatoes.....and drink flour water! just a little though....it coats your stomach.....if it becomes a major problem for the both of you....the next step would just have to be the doctor! Good Luckkkk |
