Creatine causing diarrhea? Creatine Question?

I started taking 1 scoop of Mega Creatine Extreme post and pre workout since saturday. I got diarrhea a few hours after workout. I didn't take it on sunday and didn't get diarrhea. I just took it earlier and have diarrhea now. Is the creatine causing the diarrhea? What is wrong? I'm 17 years old, 145lbs, 5'6. I also take around 40g of protein too. I mix them with water.

Also, it says 1 scoop is 18g but the front says 5g of creatine. Does it mean that 18g of the powder has 5g of creatine in it?

The side effects of creatine include nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Some people experience side effects and others dont. And other than that it is perfectly safe to take. I would stop taking that kind and save your money by switching to pill form. They are just as effective and you can buy them at walmart for like 9 bucks. Just buy plain creatine monohydrate with nothing else in it. I have a very sensitive stomach and the pills dont adversely effect me at all. And by the way one scoop weighs 18g and has 5g of creatine in it.

So you've already determined that, for you anyway, using creatine is a bad idea.

Are there any questions other than that?

Stop taking it for awhile (maybe a week?) and see if the diarrhea goes away. Then try it again and see if it comes back. Don't change anything else. Then you will know if that is causing it.
