Diarrhea? (kinda graphic, sorry)? |
Okay, I woke up yesterday and I wasn't feeling to well. I just started my period and assumed it was just the cramps that were making me feel ill. Then around 4pm I started to get Diarrhea. I wasn't in any pain (which is odd, cuz normally when I get diarrhea my stomach hurts like no other.) Finally aroun 11pm I was so tired I decided to go to bed. I slept through the night just fine. At 7:30 am I got up to pee and then out of no where I had diarrhea again. It's completely liquid and I can't stop going. My stomach isn't hurting but I'm starting to feel like I'm gonna throw up due to lack of food and little water. Any time I eat or drink anything I just end up feeling worse then before. I never put much stock into me getting diarrhea, since I ALWAYS get it (at least 2-3 times a week), but this time it's different from what I'm use to. Does anyone know what I can do to help this? I've already been taking anti-diarrhea meds which isn't doing anything. Should I eat a spacific type of food? No, you shouldn't eat anything as a matter of fact. And you shouldn't take any kind of medication to stop it either. What you should do is stop eating completely and drink only clear liquid for the next 24 hours. If you can't see sunlight through it, don't drink it. And don't drink alcohol or dairy products of any kind either. You need to swear off all dairy products for the next 5-6 days. If you drink only clear liquids and don't eat, the diarrhea will stop all by itself when the system is empty. Diarrhea is the body's first defense against a bacterial or viral intruder, as a means of removing as much of the gerbie from your innards as it can. Eating only feeds the gerbie, and prolongs the diarrhea. So if you quit eating, the gerbie starves, the diarrhea stops and your body can whip up on gerbie butt. After 24 hours of clear liquids, eat bananas, white rice, apples/applesauce, and white bread/soda crackers/toast. Stay away from all dairy products. Keep to clear liquids, and enough drinking to float your molars. On day three, if all goes well and there is no more diarrhea, you can have no-fat broth based soups, bland foods like baked/boiled potatos, non-leafy veggies, and lean grilled meat or fish. By day four you should be pretty much back to normal, and can eat a normal diet, although still no dairy and go easy on the fat. Eat a carton of live culture yogurt, your choice of flavor. That starts replenishing the good bacteria you need to digest dairy and other foods. Eat a carton or two a day for two or three days, and then ease the dairy back into your diet. Anti-diarrhea medicine just bottles the gerbies up inside you, and will only make the cramping and nausea worse- since they can't be removed by the body. You shouldn't be getting diarrhea that often, and if you always get it, you need to think about figuring out why. It could be a dietary allergy/intolerance, it could be bad sanitation where your food is being prepared, even contaminated food. Diarrhea is not a way of life, and can set you up for other problems. So after you get past this episode, you need to find out why you have it so often and get that in control. Meantime, quit eating, drink until your molars float, and follow the rest of the advice. The diarrhea should stop inside 8 hours, less than that most usually, and with that the cramping and nausea should ease as well. If you still have diarrhea on just clear liquid, you need to see the doctor for something more powerful. hahahaha..sorry um i have no clue..but i hope you feel better...and u shud prolly do something about ur continuous diarrhea. ummm if you are having it that frequently then there is deffinitely something wrong with you. 2-3 times a week is NOT healthy at all. You realize that you can die from it? It might sound like a joke but im not kidding. You might have a serious illeness if it is recurring 2-3 times a week, the healthy amount of dirrhea is none ever! You may have gastroenteritis or some sort of tummy bug. see a doctor...NOW! |
